Re: MS Teams

Right, that's because your company is a subscriber.

What a waste, With less than an hour to go, after all this, they changed their mind to using Webex instead. I have a good mind not even show up.

Re: MS Teams

Maybe I'm wrong. The 60 minute limit might only apply to the host, and the host has a subscription.

Re: MS Teams

It's a deb file. That's native. I'm not sure what you mean. And there's no more limitations on it than you'd get from running teams inside of a browser. But the 60 minute limit applies to running it from a browser. There's no point in installing the app if the same limit applies, and I haven't see ...

Re: MS Teams

hey you can use ms teams from the web but i think you need to use chromium sens ms does not support Firefox last time i use it. You need a later version of Chromium, which you can't update to on 19.3. I was able to access the Teams progressive web app (PWA) with Chrome, which I would prefer not to ...

Re: MS Teams

I use: https://github.com/IsmaelMartinez/teams-for-linux It's a fork of the original electron app. (which is now unsupported by MS) I haven't tried the "presenter mode" with this fork, but the previous MS Teams Linux version didn't support it. I think that's the only caveat you'd want to ...

MS Teams

I have to attend an MS Teams meeting next week, and I have never tried Teams on Linux. Dr Google suggests a lot of people encounter problems and I can't afford to miss this. I'm running 19.3 Cinnamon. Apparently Firefox is hopeless with Teams. I have Chromium but can't update it to the most current ...

I would ask what is small about 65535 (not to mention unsigned) but I'm sure I don't want to know. :D

Re: fan speed 65535

65535 is the maximum value of a small integer. It probably trying to tell you it cannot make a reading so your fan is kaput or at least stuck. after some head scratching I determined that small integer as used here is apparently something they didn't talk about in college math classes. "a bina...

I "think so" too but it would be nice to *confirm* that that's what the reading means. Its clearly not a true reading, my normal speed is about 3450 rpm.

I probably already have a spare fan in my old 410.

Hmmm, what kind of software? Sounds like a "bonus" you may not want or need.

Re: disk management prior to upgrade

Except one thing...I checked and I can't restore only my storage partition, which would have been nice because if I damage only that after installing Mint 21 I would have to install 19.3 to get storage partition back. But I think I may have juuuussst enough space to squeeze a Storage-only backup ont...

Re: disk management prior to upgrade

Thanks, I went ahead and created the ext4 partition out of the unallocated space, and did the backup with Rescuezilla. Everything went almost fine but something happened with my pre-existing backup partition. Will explain as soon as I figure out the scope. Doesn't appear to be a big problem

Re: disk management prior to upgrade

I meant Rescuezilla not Clonezilla

I dont currently have the external drive space to hold my backups that are on sdb so I'd rather not wipe the whoie sdb if I can avoid it. Foxclone won't me just use part of it? I know Rescuezilla can but I' ve never used it either

Re: disk management prior to upgrade

I want to image the Mint and storage (sda5) partitions (which is NTFS, shared with Windows) parts of my dev/sda in case I need to revert or something goes wrong, and put it in the unallocated space of the dev/sdb If you really want to exclude sda1, sda2, and sda3 then I think you are going to have ...
