Re: How to review a board member?

Thank you very much Gentlemen for all your answers. Too bad though we can't review people that help because they take their time to help us out. I wish there was some kind of reward system established eventually. Anyway, I love LM. It's getting better and better. I got rid of Windows in 2009 and hav...

How to review a board member?

I would like to give a good review to one of the board members who helped me out with a problem.
Is there a way to upgrade his reputation or contribute to increase his level ?

Thanks

Re: LM 19.1 Cinnamon DE not loading after mintinstall froze

Wow Larry... Thank you. Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly! It worked. However, when I reboot, it always prompts me to log in at the bash level still. I guess it had to do with the midnight commander. I tried to execute it from the alacarte menu and it froze my system. I didn't even...

LM 19.1 Cinnamon DE not loading after mintinstall froze

Hi guys, Up until this morning, I really enjoyed the 19.1 Cinnamon version. Was running super smooth on my OLD core-2 duo machine (though I upgraded the CPU to a Quad and boosted the RAM to 16 GB). My system broke down for the first time since Tessa came about. i never had so few problems and it was...

Nemo's emblems

Hi guys does anyone know where the nemo emblem configuration file is located?
The reason is that if my system were to ever crash and I had to reinstall it, I would like all my emblems to come up right back up. I did a lot of google searches but to this no, can't find the answer anywhere.

Thank you.

Re: Ran out of space: /tmp

Thanks Joe. I didn't know that but my system was getting so weird that I decided to upgrade to 19.1. My system is running so fast now... My system is a 17.2 cinnamon BUT when I do uname -a I get the response that my system is a 14.2... Very weird indeed...! If you do have a LM 17.x system, which I d...

Re: Ran out of space: /tmp

Hi guys, thank you very much for getting back to me so quickly. My system worked like that for close to 2 years now... I know when i set up the system, I created separate partitions for certain key areas of the systems such as /var, ~/, /tmp or /var/tmp... don't remember. I guess I'm the kind of use...

Re: Chrome under Linux Mint 17.2

Hi Xenopeak, thanks for getting back to me. It's very nice of you. Oh yes, it works fine. I have a second account and it works there. Even when I tried to restart the system, as it was shutting down, it came up there for a while in the corrupted account. I would really just like to run it for the la...

Re: apt-get install --only-upgrade google-chrome-beta

Thank you very much MrEen... Looks like it will take me a while to get that one back up because I don't want to destroy my computer. It turns out that one of the dependencies in my version of LM Rosa 17.3. I don't have time to upgrade right now. Besides, I was never lucky with the upgrade command. I...

apt-get install --only-upgrade google-chrome-beta

I tried to upgrade my google-chrome-beta. The version originally was 60.0.3112.72 (Build officiel) beta (64 bits) but now that I did an upgrade, it shows in synaptic version 63 (same thing when I do a apt-cache show google-chrome-beta) Output: Package: google-chrome-beta Version: 63.0.3239.59-1 Arch...

Hi can someone help me? I recently changed my user account password. Of course now it prompts me for the keychain password (seahorse) which happens to be my old password. I found a way to delete the file to start over but can't find a way to just change the password to match my new password so it wi...
