Throne of Lies

Runs perfectly for me on LMDE3. Anyone else playing this game on Linux?

If you've ever played Mafia at a party with friends, it's like that. Fun, inexpensive game that runs on any system...I've played hundreds of hours at least (I'm afraid to look)

Re: How to install the Tor browser into LM?

Use the simple instructions provided by the Tor Project.

Download the linux version file you need from the following website, and follow the instructions for linux users on that page.

gomerpile is a troll. I thought his thread about gaming on linux was funny, but this one - while equally half-hearted - is just not as funny.

Re: LMDE Users

I see what you're saying sdibaja, but in my experience the Mint 18.3, 19 releases, etc feel more experimental than LMDE, which is not all the time adding the features dumped into those point releases. With each point release I couldn't tell what small changes were coming until I installed it and not...

Re: LMDE Users

Probably. It's not a pressing matter. Just a feature I'd like to see expanded upon. Who else uses LMDE on production systems?

Re: LMDE Users

It could be helpful if the first dropdown menu in your second image gets a Custom... setting or something greater than 1 hour. In LMDE2 my options are between 1 hour, and never. Nothing inbetween! Or maybe there is a new dropdown menu created after ticking the last option there, about locking the se...

Re: LMDE Users

Yo dude, I use LMDE to host and record a podcast, in addition to light image editing and web development. It's very fast compared to Ubuntu, and nothing ever breaks or gets updated into regression, nor do I encounter crappy design forks. This is the same computer every time I turn it on. Consistency...

Re: Who no longer trusts or uses Facebook?

It's funny that you admit to not reading the article, and then respond only to the headline, using information you imagine is contained in the story. This is typical of [insert whatever generation you belong to]. So you don't bring much to the conversation worth responding to. But I will offer two c...

Automatic network connection gradually slower (over time) to connect after restart (Qualcomm Atheros AR8151)

Hello. How the hell are you guys? I have a nuanced issue that requires a bit of explanation on my part. Why does my ethernet connection take so long to connect after booting into Mint? I assume the ethernet port on my PC is the Qualcomm Atheros AR8151 listed in lspci below. I've noticed on clean ins...

nginx server: best OS?

Hello, I'm installing nginx but I've never used it before. I'll be running Wordpress on it. Have you guys ever used nginx? I'm wondering what's the best operating system for nginx? I'm looking at CentOS 6 or 7, but I don't know what the differences are in terms of using nginx. There's actually not t...

Re: WHITE RABBIT: And when it comes to that fantastic bit where the rabbit bites its own head off

Dude that's hilarious. Maybe they saw it coming, and played Louie Louie just for you. I played around Nashville in 2010 and met a few bands who did White Rabbit. I've seen a lot of people attempt that song, but nobody hits it like grace! Everybody knows it, you weren't alone. Hey, also lusting after...
