The problem is that when I connect both, I cannot use either of these connections. LAN connection to my storage is cut off and so is the internet con...

Re: Album problem in VLC

Most likely because the ID3 tags aren't set correctly? You have to have the proper information in an audio file to be able to have VLC find its cover art.

I think you only get notifications when someone quotes you.

Re: where are changes stored when running from DVD?

It's possible to create a persistent USB drive where everything is running and saved to/from the drive itself. No way to do this with a DVD though.

Re: How to update BIOS with Mint

The BIOS issue is important but while your suggestion of loading Windows will clearly work I can't help feeling there's a simpler solution. There most likely isn't. Most vendors allow running a BIOS update from a USB or external drive but if they don't they usually only allow installing from Window...

Not a real solution but until you have one you may want to run a startup script creating the file for the time being?

Re: Creating an Installation USB Stick

Also, if you're trying to boot from a USB3.0 port, please try using a USB2.0 port if available.

The contents of your USB drive does look like you've performed the live USB creation successfully.

Do you buy a new PC every time something like this happens? When a virus hits your Windows PC, do you throw it out as well? You must be a rich man.

Re: What's your favorite native Linux game?

I'm really into re-living my childhood with emulators. I use Kega Fusion, SNES9X, ePSXe, and PCSX2. I find myself playing ePSXe and PCSX2 the most since I still have stacks of old PS and PS2 disks laying around. A lot of great games in those eras... I still have all those consoles and play them on ...
