so it's a cinnamon theme error then? too bad the errors have stopped, would like to see the complete .xsession-errors and .xsession-errors.old but if you are satisfied and your ssd is safe for now, leave things alone, if your issue is resolved

remove the spotify ppa from Software Sources it's in the menu then update your system. you should not have any drivers to install
when you open display from the system settings control center and you use the dropdown to get resolutions have you tried them all?

start with deleting everything in .config/pulse folder and reboot. after reboot run pulseaudio -k again

if you run kernel 4.15 with latest updates there is no need for GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="iommu=soft quiet splash" also svm enabled means cpu virtualization, if you want to run virtualbox. keep svm disabled and learn what your bios settings are from the munafacture support site

looks like you did something to destroy pulseaudio run pulseaudio -k in Terminal post the results and also inxi -Fxzd

maybe try something different? i mostly always navigate to file in question and edit as root. i uninstalled xed and use gedit but these commands were taken from nautilus which i changed to nemo. you can replace all instances for gedit to xed ,if you like playing with commnads i'm sure you wouldn't m...

at 100+MB for an icon theme when uncompressed the set should be self contained and not inherit any other icon set. good luck finding a new set to your liking.

must be a new addition then since i only noticed it after installing the oibaff ppa. i didn't have it in mint 19.1 where i used nvidia. and i delete .cache quite often since many years ago
