Re: Cannot create disk image - permission denied

this all depends on the format of drive. is it ext4 or something linux can detect ? if you need to enter a password most likely you can't use this drive like you are.

Re: Who no longer trusts or uses Facebook?

... For very occasional use such as this, it's probably not going to be much worse privacy- and datamining-wise than more regular communication via other means. It depends on how much stuff you've shared and in my case this is unfortunately too much . it doesn't depend on how much you PERSONALLY po...

Re: Alien failing to convert RPM to DEB

your command was wrong. remove the ~/ and try again. this needs
sudo alien --scripts sqldeveloper-4.2.0.17.089.1709-1.noarch.rpm
or
sudo alien --to-deb --scripts *.rpm
sudo dpkg -i filename_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i *.deb

Re: how to do "picture-in-picture" in Mint?

this all depends on your graphic setup. most window managers have sticky window if you want to go that way or with nvidia you can make extended desktop if you use 2 monitor. you can tear out a chrome tab and then zoom out (max is 25%). but picture in picture needs it's own software like https://www....
