Re: Something wrong with the pricing?

the printing companies is the most crooked business in the world. they sell you a not so meh printer cheap and made in China and then they laugh at you all the way to the bank when it comes to buying the ink why is a tiny cartridge of colored water cost $29.99 or higher.

Re: How do I install the Halo icon theme ?

at 100+MB for an icon theme when uncompressed the set should be self contained and not inherit any other icon set. good luck finding a new set to your liking.

this is where 32bit and 64bit fight each other if you do not have the correct .wine profile. never had crossover, is that a paid wine installation? if so why not use their forums to get better help from someone that understands wine

Re: Cannot clear my DNS

seems to me there is an issue between wired and wifi. did you disable your wifi if you do not use it? couldn't tell you about wired, haven't used it in quite sometime, maybe you are right that dns can't be changed in wired. if so delete all your connections and reboot, disable your wifi and test you...

Re: Cinnamon 19.2 var is 8 GB should I remove it?

look in /var/crash delete everything as root. also what size is your /var/log
when did mint start keeping crash logs? you can safely delete everything in /var/log but you need to do this manually and do not delete folders only files

Re: Cannot clear my DNS

you're going about this the wrong way. we have no support for your router, that is something you need to learn on your own. i too have dns changed and is the one i want not the ISP. i change my dns on my device and not router. what is your actual dns, you need an outside source not an internal https...

#DisturbedDragon
you're absolutely right i'm petty that way, but i can't delete my comment if you don't delete yours first. you see mint forum takes away my ability to delete my comments. only the last post in the thread can be deleted the rest only edited.

Re: Do I need mesa-utils?

I think if users want a minimal setup they should just install the Ubuntu Minimal version and then install what they need. Indeed. It's much safer to build a system than to strip it. trust me that is not an easy task. you're basically telling people to build their houses instead of just buying them...

Re: How to show thumbnail preview for image-family files?

So, what I expect on linux mint in the future is that I don't have to open the file at least once to make the file thumbnail show. so, I consider this as a bug for now. this happens in windows and android. when you open a file manager that had it's thumbnails cleaned the images in file manager are ...

Re: Do I need mesa-utils?

Right, thanks for the quick reply. So the folder called mesa_shader_cache in ~/.cache is actually doing something. Good to know:) you can delete everything in .cache and still be fine (if you do logout to repopulate the cache) , but you shouldn't have a mesa shader cache folder unless you installed...
