I tried the script and doesn't work. it just copied the directory lost+found in other location.

I had read that fsck keeps the location of the files in a thing called inode????

Any ideas??

Ouch!! This script (check_lost+found.py) may help And from the repositories testdisk apt install testdisk testdisk can do several tricks including recovery of any kind of files with photorec And this will recover also my folders. There isn't a mint package for install the KDE environment in 64bits, so I think install kubuntu-desktop, but I don't know if that can messed up my Mint 7 with Gnome.

Moreover, if something goes wrong, how can I uninstall KDE?
