Re: Going back to a kernel

I had issues changing the kernel but I figured out that the
TLP battery addons, were built into the 413034 kernel had,to remove them than use grub to change the
to 413045. After that all is normal and reinstalled the battery addons. I learn as I go.

Going back to a kernel

I never had to do this before. I upgraded the kernel to 4:15.0.34 from 4:15.0.33 and I want to go back the 4:15.0.33. How do I do this? shut down issues and odd bionic texts top of screen last night.

Re: Update manager

Any more info on the fix? due to the nature of this issue it may not be a easy solution. I am thinking of upgrading to mint 19. Currently I used 18.3 should I use update manager to upgrade or clean install? I have been using the console for updates and no issues with change permissions.

Re: How to update your kernel for Meltdown and Spectre

I got to wondering how long the kernel 4.13 series is supported for? I am sure its not a LTS and Tera is going to be using 4.15 from what I read. When should a user upgrade the kernel in general?
