Firefox coapp no suitable package?
Firefox Video Download Helper has always worked fine with the coapp it requires. But now https://www.downloadhelper.net/install-coapp-v2?browser=firefox says that there is no package suitable for Mint. I tried the deb package and it seems to install, but it doesn't work, specifically on the NHK Gran...

Any idea what happened, and how I can revert or modify the ...

Re: HPFS drives now read only?
This is a dual boot system (see my sig). Last week all was fine - Mint could always read/write HPFS drives. Now it can't write to them, although it can still read them. The properties on the drive claims the owner is root. See jpeg.

Re: HPFS drives now read only?
For the past decade, I have been able to read/write my HPFS drives. Today I cannot. Do you know what has changed since the last updates?

[solved] HPFS drives now read only?
What happened with the latest updates? I have 3 HPFS drives (dual boot windows on a separate drive) that now root owns and that tell me (the admin) that they are read only, and I cannot write to them. How can I fix this?

ProjectLibre will not close on mint 21.1
Just had to reboot and uninstall ProjectLibre. It used to run fine, but since upgrading to 21.1, now it will not exit. This was a fresh installation as well from the file projectlibre_1.7.0-1.deb but going to the website, all I saw was the windows exe download link. Anyone else have problems? - Elmar

Re: MS Office in Linux
I just saw that I have wine 8.0, and tried to install MSOffice into it. It seemed to work fine. Excel appears to work, as does Powerpoint and Word. Front page exits with no error messages. But Access throws missing dll errors (to date msmstr10.dll and msjet40.dll). Ideas how to proceed?

installing the gnome-online-accounts goes easily enough, but how do you access it? Nothing shows up in the menu.

Internet accounts functionality on MATE?
Hmmm - I see this online accounts thing is in cinnamon. Apparently there is no equivalent in the Mate desktop? I can find nothing that refers to it. Searching shows that such a plugin has not been developed by the mate team. Is that still true?

SteamVR and Quest 1 Headset
Using the USB cable, and the system works fine on my dual boot win10, i.e. I can get steamVR to run there. But on linux, SteamVR claims not to be able to see my headset, and the headset claims not to be able to see my PC. ALVR doesn't seem to work either as it says that STeamVR had not been run, eve...

I asked their support mailing list, and the program works under ubuntu 21.10 as expected. So it's something Mint related.

[SOLVED] CTRL-click not passing to gnucash
Odd behavior since upgrading to mint 20.3 - GNUCASH has a reports function that allows one to select accounts with shit-click for sequential (contiguous) accounts in the list, and ctrl-click for discontinuous ones, both to select and to de-select. Now it doesn't work. However, individual item select...

[solved]increase size of desktop icon text?
Good afternoon. I need to increase the size of the desktop icons and the icon text for a person with cystoid macular edema, but I do not see any options to do this anywhere. I can increase the mouse pointer size, so that is something, but I can't get the icons on the desktop or their associated text...
