From what I read Mint 21.2 EDGE and LMDE 6 are secure boot compatible.

I agree that is it better to disable SecureBoot, however there are cases when it is not possible (e.g. BIOS setup password lost)

current version 21 is not compatible with Secure Boot.
I read that the dev are working on making the next version (21.3 or 22 ?) compatible.
In the mean time, is it possible to find an older version that was compatible with secure boot ?

BIOS options are pretty limited. Just enable or disable the various EFI and Legacy options. Only the "USB HDD" option can recognize the USB stick, and it is only available in EFI mode. At the moment I have no problem installing grub to the MBR from my current Mint (it was installed success...

However my situation is weird because I have to boot the live USB in EFI mode.

So somehow the bug is that gparted is flaged as installed and yet it is not !

How do I report this, please ?

Finally solved by :
1. uninstall gparted and gparted-common
2. reinstall gparted (and gparted-common)
then gparted can be opened.
