Re: nvidia driver installed but won't load
You can try deactivating internal Intel graphic card in the bios of your machine. It should also have an option to set which card is main and which card is secondary... i've never seen that choice in a bios. might be that it's limited to desktops or something. well i did get the nvidia driver to lo...

Re: nvidia driver installed but won't load
I had the same problem months ago. Although nvidia was selected in Driver Manager, nouveau was always loading. Try this in Terminal to avoid it: sudo nano /etc/default/grub Search GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT, after "quiet splash" add "modprobe.blacklist=nouveau" Save file and exit...

Re: printer not working properly in Mint
It seems you must clean the print head before trying to print again, those white lines in the middle of the circles say some nozzles may be clogged.
And it's printing in monochrome, no colour. May be you have selected black&white in printer preferences?

The same happens to me, and only in LM forum. May be cookies in this forum have a timed expiration (cookies with "expires" or "max-age" parameters) or the forum is set to automatically end session in x days as a security measure.

Re: ¿Cómo asociar los magnets links al qBitTorrent?
No hace falta desinstalar nada. Descárgate un .torrent a cualquier directorio. Sobre él le das al botón derecho del ratón y eliges "Abrir con", luego "Otra aplicación", escoges qBitTorrent y abajo le das a "Fijar como predeterminado". Ya está.

Re: Nvidia Optimus issues
I have an Asus N752 with Nvidia Optimus (GTX950M and Core i7-6700HQ, kernel 4.13.0-16, Mint 18.3.) and I encountered a weird issue with Nvidia settings: when I run it I get an error message and only a handful of the options that should be available are actually there. I suffered something like this...

Re: Trouble Mounting microSD card
"32GB slipped into a larger housing" So it can't be a microSD card, they only go up to 4GB. yes it is a micro, and it has a full size adapter Be careful with microSD to SD adapters, they fail sometimes. Please try: - lsblk, then insert SD card, lsblk again and see if a new volume appears ...

Yes, the utility has few funcionalities and can't help you to change the ink cartridges, you must use the button way (open the printer and press reset for three seconds).

Why Mtink when Epson printers have their own utilities bundled with drivers package?
Press Alt+F2
Type epson-printer-utility and press Enter
That's it...
You can check ink levels, perform a nozzle check and head cleaning.

Re: Constant freezing
Hi Ashocka! You can try "lsmod |grep nvidia" and then "lsmod | grep nouveau" in Terminal. The one that returns data will be the driver you are really loading. Last week I realized that although Nvidia driver was selected in Driver Manager, my Mint 18.3 was loading nouveau driver ...

Re: Epson scanner blocked by firewall
Hi Skin! I had the same problem with an Epson SX235W as described here: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=228387 The only way I found to make scanner work was disabling firewall or using kernel 4.2. If you success trying to make scanner work with firewall enabled or a newer kerne...
