TX for all that info pdc.
Pierre- I have an ARM based machine
- NVIDIA TEGRA 3 Quad Core 1.3Ghz, 2Gb RAM, --with Windows 8.1 activated.

It's ok no biggie but it would be so much more useful as a linux machine.
- I'll report what I learn from thr stuff pdc posted.

Just picked up a Surface RT for a 100 bucks.
I'm going to throw sone mint on it....i might.
If I can get the touch screen to work yada yada.

- - - So I found Synaptic Package Manager which is brand new to me. _I searched for MP4 but theres just so much stuff that comes up. __I searched for the package the thread i linked to mentioned, mint-meta-codecs , in All and installed that package (which came with a ton of stuff like a flash-plugin...

Just plug it in via USB and go, works out of the box with no changes. Have not tried via BT as I do not have one with BT (only the "new" ones have BT). ... :shock: Oh Yea :!: it's about to go down :!: _depending on whether this works when I get home.... Anyone have any success connecting ...

and it my baby installed the library.
I'm going to try to run my program again now.

_ok so it's ok now. It can't find a doom wad now so....library problem solved and some good lessons learned.
