rene, I just found a little icon at the bottom RHS of the screen with a number on it and when clicked it gave me the notification . So looks like it is all good now . Many thanks help . :D

Did that and got the notification down the right bottom of the screen so looks like it must be working . It only stays up for a few seconds . Libre Office Base (Solved)

Was trying to make a very simple database with Date, Type of Purchase, Cost, Total . When I go save it it wont save but comes up with SYS_IDX_63. How can I overcome this and get my Database running or is there a fault in Libre Office base .

When I booted into my mint 18.3 this morning I found a strange user login namely "guest-f102vrc" . This is not mine and it has wiped out all my documents from the documents folder and I cannot do anything with the folders . The Documents, Downloads, photo's etc folders are not showing up in the file...

I carried out those instructions . Alsa installed and in terminal I get the volume icon showing in the bottom bar . Cannot make any adjustments to alsa and when I shut down the terminal the volume icon disappears from the bottom bar . I cannot do any adjustments from the volume icon .
