Re: With the new LM 21 I can no longer pair my Bluetooth headphones and earphones
You're not alone. My bluetooth adapter, that worked fine all the way up to Mint 20.3, no longer is detected by Mint 21, and I can no longer use me bluetooth headphones with it while gaming. I'm forced to boot back into Windows if I want to use my headset, which is absurd. I've seen multiple question...

No suggestions at all? I can't be the only one with this issue, surely?

Album Art no longer showing in FLAC files for LM 21 beta
Apols if wrong location, was unsure where to post. Previously Xplayer provided thumbnails for my album art, my MP3s are showing album art fine (they exist only to go on my phone, etc), but the FLAC folder files don't show the embedded album art in LM 21 beta, which was confusing. Xplayer doesn't see...

Re: Please help - update manager turned red
Open the Software Sources app, check under PPAs and Additional Repositories for the repo you added, the one giving you grief, and untick/disable it. It will no longer try to use this, and fail. All should now work

Re: Install Mint in an SSD+HDD system
I've done similar. I have a 250GB SSD, gave about 200GB to Windows, then moved my files locations (Documents, Videos, Documents, etc) to the HDD (moved them using Storage settings), I want my OS to load fast, not my files. Then used the rest for my / (root) partition (about 40GB), then mounted /home...

Re: Linux Mint 20: issue after update
What, exactly, is your issue please? The output you posted did not list any errors, so we're lacking any real data to work with here. Those details could be handy, but with no context as to the real prob you're facing, we're spinning out wheels here

Why not simply use the Boot-repair tool on the live-install media? Simplest way mate

Re: Frequent System Freeze
Do you have any extra extensions installed? I worked out that the regular "pausing" my system was doing every 5 or seconds (very briefly, but annoying as hell when watching video, or gaming) seemed to not be an issue after I disabled the extra extensions i'd added. Annoying to not have acc...

Re: Nothing Will Boot from USB
I have a box loaded with multiple hard drives, that refused to boot from usb with all the drives connected. I disconnected everything but the ssd i wanted to install to and it was able to boot from usb. I'm of the opinion it's a hardware issue, and an annoying one. I simply installed with only the s...

Yes, it does. I literally reinstalled it just yesterday. It's at the bottom of the screen where it offers manual partitioning.

Re: Embedded album art is not displaying in FLAC or MP3 files in Nemo
I had the same issue after I messed up some video players in Linux Mint 19.2 but my problem got solved after I removed all the video players (through Synaptic Package Manager) from Linux Mint and just installed Xplayer from 'Synaptic Package Manager'. And I kept both Xplayer and VLC as my video pla...

Re: Embedded album art is not displaying in FLAC or MP3 files in Nemo
I've just opened a another thread on this issue https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=308026 This issue is that 19.3 doesn't ship with an thumbnailer that supports extracting the cover art from audio. 19.2 and earlier did (the thumbnailer was provided by xplayer) THat never even occ...

Re: Embedded album art is not displaying in FLAC or MP3 files in Nemo
THanks for the feedback guys. Been ill, and kinda let this slip to the wayside. With these pointers, i pulled celluloid, added xplayer back, and added tumbler thumbnailer for good measure. Refreshed Nemo, and yay, my album art thumbnails are back again. Much appreciate the pointer in the right direc...

Embedded album art is not displaying in FLAC or MP3 files in Nemo
As above. Currently running 19.3 Cinnamon. The album art shows fine in Windows file manager, and in Dolphin for PCLinuxOS, only choking in Nemo, for some odd reason. This did not used to be an issue, so quite puzzled. Booted back off the liveusb of 19.3 to check, in case some setting had changed, bu...

Re: How to enable desktop sharing?
I set up remote desktop on the box I use for a house server (running Mint Mate 19, with excess apps removed), using this link https://thelinuxexperiment.com/enabling ... x-mint-19/ >Works great, and i can connect easily with Remmina, or KRDC

Re: Thumbnail view...
Open Nemo (the file manager), go up top to Edit, then Preferences, then to Preview. Where it says SHow Thumbnails, by default it's set to Local Files only, meaning files on your Mint install. Your external drive, etc, isn't that. To see thumbnails on it as well, switch it to Yes to see thumbnails on...

So, no one? I'm guessing I'll have to reinstall and try again if this can't be made to work
