Re: Foreign Packages in Software Sources

Hi thanks for your reply. It's the keys that are permanently visible when you click into software sources then click the link to find you authentication keys which are there for different software. I'm certain i've seen the linux mint 20 software keys there after upgrading. Have found another thread...

Re: Foreign Packages in Software Sources

Hi thanks for your reply. I not sure whether bleachbit has caused any problem but does anyone know if you need a Linux mint authentication key in the software sources or not?? Is that still required??

Re: Foreign Packages in Software Sources

Hi the second problem can be forgotten -- Firefox 80.0 is 80.01 work that one out!!
Do i still need to have the Linux Mint keys and Ubuntu keys for authentication seen in software sources or are they no longer required now-days? My update manager still works OK!

Re: Foreign Packages in Software Sources

Hi for the second problem -- There seem to be many comments when i type in Firefox where do i start to look? Also why have my system updates become selective? how do i fix that? Just checked my software sources for missing keys and there seems to be a problem with a mention of an error with your APT...

Foreign Packages in Software Sources

Hi i'm using a PC in Mint 20 Ulyana and went to remove the foreign packages and was left with three which remain and cannot be deleted suggesting they are integral for my system. But surely if they are old ones left over and obsolete surely they need to be removed or updated/upgraded? -- ureadahead ...

Re: Account drop down menus not working in Mint 19.2 using Firefox 69

You mentioned resetting Firefox. I guess you mean going to your home folder, enable hidden and delete .mozilla. Make sure and backup you bookmarks and note any extensions. It might work and is a viable option. Found out what happened -- went too far turning things off in Firefox about:config to mak...

Re: Account drop down menus not working in Mint 19.2 using Firefox 69

Would you consider trying Chromium to see how it works for you? I know this doesn't answer the question. Can you tell me the name of the internet site to see if I can duplicate the condition? Just had a quick look at Ski World web site and all the drop downs are not working. This happens in payment...

When i enter any accounts and try to use a drop down box menu to make a selection for payment it does not work at all. It refuses to move. Without knowing what menus you're referring to, could they be JavaScript components, and if so, could you be using a JavaScript blocking extension (or have othe...

Hi Blue Ocean
Thanks for your reply. The answer is no. But i was thinking of using one soon going off the current subject. Hate the idea of ads following you around like a fly! -- find it intimidating and feel i have to fight back.
