Hi,

You didn't identify the cause of the memory leak, so it's hard to propose a solution.

That said, you don't need to reboot... you can restart Cinnamon even without stopping the session. Press Alt+F2, type r and press Enter. This will restart the Cinnamon process within the same session.

Hi,

Version 7.8.9 is out. It fixes the empty flatpak category on 32-bit.

We still don't have a fix for people experiencing "GPGME: Invalid crypto engine" errors, though we believe the issue is with libostree (a Flatpak dependency).

@almo, can you run mintinstall from the terminal, click on the flatpak button and paste the output?

if Cinnamon was to crash its wrapper would ask you if you want to launch it again or fallback. Among other things, the fallback is using mate-panel.
