Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140
Trying to setup FAH again on a new install of LMDE4. I've basically copied over all of the previous configs, installed OpenCL and Cuda, but I'm stuck with this message: OpenCL: Not detected: clGetPlatformIDs() returned -1001 Is there something else that needs to be done to get this client to work? ...

Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140
Feel the bottom for a hotspot. Is thee a removable panel near there? if yes remove it.
The end with the hot spot, prop that end up with something giving it 1/2 inch (12-13 mm) clearance. Especially if this makes your fan out point slightly upward.

Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140
Hello, I would like to join your team, but I need help first. I am running FAH 7.6.9 on a Ryzen 5 2400g. The CPU is running fine, but I do not get the integrated GPU to work. I think I have openCL installed. I did it as described by rene in this discussion sudo apt-get install ocl-icd-libopencl1 oc...

Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140
Brell was merged in cazic years ago. if you "have" titanium discs, you can play on the emulator server project 1999. The green server is classic repeating. Classic timeline etc. I'm afraid the addiction is too deep. 3 paying accounts active and with retirement, plenty of time to play, muc...

Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140
It was this suggestion/advice that fixed it. If they aren't using the GPUs and you want them to, look at the log tab select slot 01 and scroll to the bottom see if you're getting any warnings or errors. In my case I had an opencl error and with a simple google search I needed to adjust the opencl-i...

Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140
Hi Folks; I've downloaded the client on 2 machines. One running mint 19.3 and one running win 10. Both are seeing my GPUs at least if not using them. I do have a couple of newb questions for the folks here though. 1. I'm guessing it's ok to join the 76140 team with the win 10 machine. I hope you fo...

A work unit is a work unit. they are rated for there size and complexity for a base score. CPU's being lighter score for limited capability. GPU get the harder work units. Which makes the WU higher base points.

Hi folks I want to thank those who have helped me with the issues I've been having with getting my GPU fold. I'm curious when and how you guys learned about Folding@Home or other crowed computing programs like this. I know a lot of people jumped on the band wagon with the COVID outbreak. So how abo...

Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140
Ok so i went and took a peek at Arch Linux active users. A year or so ago we were catching up to them. Today they have 4 pages of active users. 3 pages are purple in color, so they are ryzen 5/7 equivalent cpus. That is just impressive... They are the last Linux based team to pass. The prospects loo...

CPU core 0xa7 showing about 87kppd for 6/12 cpu probably 75k on the low end for harder WU's.
