Re: GeForce GTX 1070 Driver Setup

FYI I just upgraded to 18.3 a few days ago, and sadly there is only 1 driver listed beyond the open source driver. Makes me sad.

Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140

Looks like I am going to be averaging above 400k. My lack of streaming as well as everything for 2 days has been core21. Not shedding a tear about core18 going away, those WU just didnt have the bonus like 21. And gratz Greerd on 200 mil barrier. You got about 4 more days before Tinca starts leaving...

Re: Nvidia Drivers in Driver Manager are ALL incompatible with 18.3

Make sure its XFCE From there you can work your way outward. 18.X for some reason lost about 5 or 6 driv...

Re: Upgrading my pc (give opinions)

I would recommend an nvidia card over AMD at this time due to driver situation still being difficult. I realize the price of lower end nvidia cards has doubled since the bit coin explosion. The 1050's are not horribly priced, they seem to be not desired for mining. I do not know how beefy of a card ...

With data being big money these days......
I am wondering if this fits into the realm of prosecutable conspiracy, for all parties who kept quiet. Since I do not fully understand it, you can be assured there is almost no one in the government that does either.... unless they abused it themselves.

Re: Ideas for old laptop?

You could do what i do with an old netbook.
1) fully charge battery
2) remove battery
3) place battery and laptop in warm dry place
4) when your PC gives out, pull out laptop and order parts.
4b) when a storm knocks power out, find wifi and pay bills on time

Re: Dogs?

@sammiev Dobies CAN be great family dogs. They naturally develop a social cluster and they are awesome. Its when something outside of that clusters comes about, there are issues. They tend to be more extreme to outside people than other dogs. It takes much work to break this breed trait, most do not...
