Re: Apache got curl'd
Hoy and Eureka!! Please disregard, I got this fixed! The problem was on the FOG side. I'm probably the only chap in here running FOG on LM but here's the fix in case anyone else encounters this issue: https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/11805/install-fog-1-5-2-on-ubuntu-18-04-checking-package-curl-f...

[SOLVED] Apache got curl'd
Hi all, Quick question about a problem I encountered yesterday on my FOG (www.fogproject.org) server running LM 19.1 I tried to search the forums for the answer but can't really determine if it's an issue on the OS side or on FOG. I did an upgrade from LM 18.3 to 19.1, it took a while but went prett...

If this has been suggested previously, my apologies, I did perform a brief search of the forums and didn't find any related posts. We all know donations are an important way to support the Lin...

Linux Mint - dnsmasq roadmap
Greetings from the forest! I have a brief question concerning the version of dnsmasq that is included in Linux Mint: Will there be plans to include a more current version of dnsmasq in future releases? The current included version is 2.75, however according to http://www.thekelleys.org.uk/dnsmasq/ ,...

Re: Google Hangouts / Pidgin
Hi phd, Thanks I'll check out Jitsi and also qTox. I run Mint on a Dell Optiplex 755, it's older hardware but it's been very reliable hardware. When I upgraded to 18.2 I decided to try the new kernel and it's been running great. Now I just need to remove some of the previous kernels I still have ins...

Hello friends, hope everyone is having a great summer! :) I have a question I hope someone can shed a little light on for me: I have friends in Google Hangouts but I would rather use something other than the Chrome extension. I read Pidgin can do this but it seems I need the correct libpurple plugin...

Best distro ever!
My apologies, I'm unable to keep silent any longer. I've been running Linux Mint for a few years now and I know I'm preaching to the choir here but I've found it to be the most capable, versatile, reliable and fun to use linux distro I've ever seen! It's been my primary OS at home but recently I've ...

Re: Seeking some advice
I booted into Win10 and noticed that the time/date settings were correct but I made that regedit change anyway. Rebooted into Mint, rebooted back into Win10..all good. Rebooted back into Mint, installed all available updates that displayed in the Update Manager and rebooted. Logged back into Mint an...
