Thank you !! I've been searching everywhere for a way to do that but couldn't figure it out

Re: Desktop icons

Very irritating to me as well but I haven't found a solution either. Kind of like
kwin crashing every time I open an app.

Right click a blank spot on the panel, choose "panel options" then "Add Panel".
(Make sure to unlock widgets first.

Kwallet is the biggest pain in my butt that I've ever encountered on a computer.constant windows popping up asking for a password. I've put it in countless times, clicked "cancel" countless times and closed it countless times. Still fifteen minutes later there it is. How can I get rid of t...

Re: KDE Plasma 5 on Mint 17.2 ?

Yeah Linux Mint is always one of the last ones to apply the latest stuff, but when Mint finally does apply it you can bet your bobo
it will work and probably better than anyone else's. (Just my experience)

Re: Mint 17.2 KDE: KDE 4 or KDE 5?

I installed kubuntu with plasma 5 on a separate partition just to try plasma 5. Long story short, it sucks! The themes are horrible, and it isn't nearly as configurable as KDE 4. Why is it every time devs make something "better" it ends up being a chopped up version of what it's replacing?...

Re: Numeric keyboard stopped working... (ABANDONED)

Ok I found the problem. I had to uncheck (in system settings/input devices/mouse) "move pointer with keyboard (using numbers pad).
Seems you can have one or the other. 8)

Re: Numeric keyboard stopped working... (ABANDONED)

I have the same problem since installing 17.1 KDE. Numbers pad doesn't work at all. It was fine with 17 and every other os I've tried.
I've tried setting it to come on at start in system settings to no avail.

k9copy in Mint 17-KDE

After installing Mint 17, k9copy will no longer install. Gdebi says "not able to satisfy dependencies" but it doesn't say which ones.
I never had any problems installing it on 16 or any previous release. Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Rip a DVD to the hard drive?

1 Click DVD Copy for Windows always works great and there is a free decryptor called DVD43 that integrates with it. That's what I use and I've
never had it fail.

Re: Mint KDE 15

I installed it and it's a beautiful thing. There are only a few things in this world that you can depend on and
Mint KDE being almost flawless is usually one of them. Thanks for another great job.

Re: Linux 15 Mate and Synaptic Problem

I'm not sure how it acts in live dvd mode because I installed it right away. I rarely run a live disc of any Mint version much
because I've just grown to expect no problems. 8)

Re: Linux 15 Mate and Synaptic Problem

Synaptic won't even open for me. It just flashes then disappears. If I run in terminal sudo apt-get update it does nothing. If I run in terminal sudo synaptic I get this mark@mark-System-Product-Name ~ $ sudo synaptic (synaptic:2920): Gtk-WARNING **: GtkNotebook 0xc2a4a0 is mapped but visible child ...
