Re: Bash Script Command output to notification?

Ah Solved it, you can just use notify send like this to show the status of the VPN after you have connected.

Code: Select all

notify-send 'VPN Status' "`windscribe status`"

Re: Change Location of Notifications?

"Margin from right edge" is not ignored in my current Mint 18.3 I changed my current 200px to 400px, and that worked. #notification { font-size: 10pt; border-radius: 4px; background-color: #accd8a; border: 1px solid rgba(255,255,255,0.7); border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; pad...

Re: Change Location of Notifications?

Had a poke around a bit deeper than a GUI by using gconftool and gsettings but had no luck finding such a setting. :( This any good to you? https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=97460 Thank you but that just appears to describe the process I have already tried to move the notifications to th...

Change Location of Notifications?

Hi, I'm using the Linux Mint 18.2 64 bit Cinnamon variant, I've been looking for a way to vertically change the location of cinnamon notifications, I've tried looking in the theme file for "margin-from-top-edge-of-screen" to change the value but it's no longer there only "margin-from-right-edge-of-s...

Re: Ubuntu TV?

They're competing with Google TV though (apart from a lot of smaller players) - it's not gonna be as hard as breaking into the mobile OS market (=no chance), but it's gonna be a long uphill climb. I like that Canonical are so ambitious and visionary but I think they missed the boat on most of the m...

Re: New Build PC Flashing Light But Doesen't Turn On?

The only PSU's I trust these days are Antec, Corsair etc... the wattage ratings on the cheap ones are more of a marketing statement. Safe to assume that a cheap 500W unit is good for 350 to 400 W with a limited life span. Doesn't sound like you are pulling a big load though. My guess is that you ha...
