Could you try running WPS Office from the terminal and copy & paste the error when it crashes?

Password Managers, What do You Use?

I've been using Keepass2 for literally years and it's performed admirably but I think it might be time to move onto something else, it's been getting a bit annoying when you have multiple devices and you need to be able to access the same database from them all... so far I've discovered bitwarden wh...

[Solved] Starting Application automagically when logged in

Hi,

Could someone remind me how to go about starting applications automatically when you login? I haven't needed to do it in years but I'd quite like to get Guake to start when I login, I seem to remember you could delay the start time as well :?:

Thank you.

Re: Change DNS Settings?

Looks like this works I've found and adapted a solution that works from https://support.opendns.com/hc/en-us...8007087-Ubuntu To change your system to use the OpenDNS servers (this is for Mint 19 - adapt accordingly for your distro/version): sudo cp /etc/resolv.conf /etc/resolv.conf.auto xed admin:/...

Try this:
https://sites.google.com/site/easylinux ... our-system
(item 10, right column)
Thank you but unfortunately xed says it cannot find that file? "Could not find the file admin:///etc/resolvconf/resolv.conf.d/tail."

Re: Bash Script Command output to notification?

Ah Solved it, you can just use notify send like this to show the status of the VPN after you have connected.

Code: Select all

notify-send 'VPN Status' "`windscribe status`"

Re: Change Location of Notifications?

"Margin from right edge" is not ignored in my current Mint 18.3 I changed my current 200px to 400px, and that worked. #notification { font-size: 10pt; border-radius: 4px; background-color: #accd8a; border: 1px solid rgba(255,255,255,0.7); border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; pad...

Re: Ubuntu TV?

They're competing with Google TV though (apart from a lot of smaller players) - it's not gonna be as hard as breaking into the mobile OS market (=no chance), but it's gonna be a long uphill climb. I like that Canonical are so ambitious and visionary but I think they missed the boat on most of the m...
