Re: VPN Connection not changing?
Looks like it's totally some kind of bug with the Network Manager GUI as I've just installed the rather excellent little VPN Look-Out Applet (https://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/applets/view/305) which when connecting and disconnecting from within completely bypasses the issue

What application are you trying to print to pdf from? does it not give you an option to just print to custom dimensions?

Re: is it possible to search the package manager to see availability?
Do you mean to see if it's in in the repo? you can use apt-cache search to find packages by keyword or package name see link below

Re: Enable Low Battery Warnings?
Cinnamon has a few issues is this regard. 1) I think that notifications, including the power event notifications are hidden when paying full screen video or gaming, As the panel is also hidden the color changes in the battery applet won't be apparent either. Mitigation - turn on Notification audio ...

Re: OpenVPN with NordVPN has DNS leak
Tried the original reply to this thread for DNS leaks but it's not working on Linux Mint 19 :/ dnsmasq dosen't sppear to be an option in the config file now so you can't actually remove it either This is why you need to start your own thread. This thread is only a little older than 6 months and it'...

Re: Can I install Puffin Web Browser on Linux Mint Cinnamon 18.3
It appears to only support Windows, MacOS, and mobile operating systems so it would seem not... is there a particular reason you need to use that web browser over others already available on Linux?

Re: Steam now lets you play Windows games on Linux
I have a load of Popcap games which I used to love killing time on I'd almost forgotten about those! I wonder if Plants vs. Zombies or (IIRC) Bookworm will work? I tried Plants vs Zombies and it complained with some kind of directory error, works fine through Lutris wine set-up though ***...

[SOLVED] Enable Low Battery Warnings?
So I often unplug my laptop when using it just for convenience but forget that I've unplugged it especially if I'm watching a film or something and mint will just shutdown with no warning... is there a way I can make it pop up with system notifications to tell me that the battery is running low?

Re: Steam now lets you play Windows games on Linux
I have a load of Popcap games which I used to love killing time on but I could only get Feeding Frenzy 2 working under this new feature, they work fine under lutris I'm assuming with some tweaks though that make them work and I do like that the steam implementation seems neater and less buggy when i...

Re: Some websites blocked despite vpn?
quite often, hackers will use a vpn connection to keep their own IP from being blocked. and the IP address will be blocked, I have run into this on occasion and it is easier to just choose a different vpn server and move on. Also, have your verified that IPv6 is turned OFF on your computer? even th...
