If the path should have been /usr/bin/obmenu then the openbox package has been build with a wrong path name.
Output from apt content openbox:
/usr
/usr/bin
/usr/bin/gdm-control
/usr/bin/obamenu
/usr/bin/obxprop
/usr/bin/openbox
/usr/bin/openbox-session

Openbox broken
Seems that the openbox package in LMDE4 is broken.
When I try to open to the applications menu entry, I receive an error msg telling me that the path '/usr/bin/obamenu' is not valid.

Re: Kernel Updates in LMDE
Debian (and thus LMDE4) is unlike Arch & derviates a jumping release not a rolling one.
So you are stuck with the 'boxed' kernel until the next major release unless you manually install the latest kernel image from the buster-backports repo.

You probably missed some info here.
Mint (or Debian) does not support Canonical's snap crap.

Re: Random popping sound, common fix didn't work for me
Try upgrading your firmware-intel-sound from buster-backports and I'd also recommend to get the latest 5.10 kernel from there (linux-image-amd64)

Re: Install Mint on top of Debian
Debian Bullseye supports the latest Cinnamon DE 4.8.6, but it's ofc lacking the decidedly 'mint' packages like mintinstall, mintupdate, mintwelcome.

Re: LMDE4 errors on startup
If you don't know how to handle 'dmesg' in the terminal, then run 'gnome-logs' from the menu and filter for the system error messages.

Xed unable to open 8mb notepad++ text file
Upon trying to open a 8mb text file created with notepad++ I get an error message that this file cannot be opened due to encoding problems. Encoding problems in a text file, I thought and opened it with 'wine notepad' instead to take a look. There I saw upon saving the file that it was encoded in UT...

Re: does not boot after kernel update 4.19.0-11
Does your machine run on the terminal (tty1 to tty7)? If so, then its 'merely' a crash of the X server or possibly lightdm.
Have you looked at /var/log/Xorg.0.log and what does it tell you?
Have yo tried the 'nomodeset' kernel option yet?

Progress bar copying
While copying a file to a USB stick the progress bar never updates.
It remains at 0% the whole time and when the copying is done it disappears without any notification.
