Updated list of compatible nVidia cards?

I can't seem to find an updated list of nVidia cards that work with Mint 18.1. Am I overlooking it somewhere? If so, can someone toss me a bone, please? lol Currently running with onboard graphics and trying to narrow my freezing problem when I'm playing Steam games through Playonlinux. "Cinnamon ha...

Re: [SOLVED] Creating shortcuts

I know it's solved, but I wanted to say that austin.texas' method is the only one that worked for me.

Thank you austin!

Re: Trying to install my printer... help?

Also, the error dialogue I'm getting when I try to print (it actually shows my printer on the list...) is

"Could not start printer."
"Please check your printer configuration."

Re: Trying to install my printer... help?

Related distributions openSUSE 10.3 or earlier See that? That's not us. 'We' are not based on Open Suse, which is a different Linux-based OS; Mint is based on Debian, either directly or based-on-Ubuntu which is based-on-Debian. (All of these are names of Linux-based OSses. There are lots!) So you c...

Trying to install my printer... help?

This is one of the things that I loved about Windows... hardware was a lot easier to install.... (Takes a deep breath) .... but, I'll get over it. I have a Brother MFC-L2700DW printer that I purchased 2 years ago and I'm very happy with it. I would like to keep it. When I swapped from Windows to Min...

PlayonLinux

[Days using Linux now: 4] I am (hopefully) fast approaching my original reasons for installing Linux: older RTS games like Roller Coaster Tycoon, Age of Empires II, Starcraft, and so on. PlayonLinux. I heard it does the thing. My understanding of it is that it's more of a chauffeur and Wine is the a...

Re: Attempting to use Linux for the first time ever.

Installed Mint adequately enough from what I've seen so far. (I say adequately because I'm a novice with Linux, ergo I cannot properly gauge how 'professionally' I did it) Everything works properly so far, a little google search here and there for getting myself comfortable but I seem to be doing fi...

Attempting to use Linux for the first time ever.

Where to begin... HI, I'm Shiano, and I'm a PC. I've never run any OS other than Windows. I want to try Linux (bounced back and forth between Mint and Ubuntu based on screen captures) but I have no experience coding. Step 1 on my journey? I downloaded Mint from linuxmint.com. Step 2: Read the instru...
