4.18 is supported by Canonical just like 4.15 which reached end of life in Apr 2018 neither is supported by Kernel.org any more You can upgrade to kernel 4.18.0-25 if you want - just open your synaptic package manager and search for 4.18.0-25 and install the following linux-headers-4.18.0-25 linux-m...

Is the SD Card formatted to NTFS? if so check to see if ntfs-3g is installed or not you can do that through the Synaptic Package Manager

I use Gnome Disk Utility for that which yo can get through the Synaptic Package Manager- once installed highlight the drive you want to change - select the "Additional Partition options" then select Edit Filesystem and type in new name see the screen shot
