Re: Tricia to Ulyana killed Samsung C1860FW network printer

I added quotes to the URI. Pressed enter and it went directly to ~$ Opened a document and sent to the printer. At least now the document is loaded to the printer queue, but it sits in "processing" indefinitely and never prints. I woke the printer up manually, just to make sure I had a printer ready ...

Re: Tricia to Ulyana killed Samsung C1860FW network printer

Did I still not perform the substitution properly?

he@he-X555LAB:~$ lpadmin -p c1860 -v ipp://Samsung%20C1860%20Series%20(SEC842519069CE5)._ipp._tcp.local/ -E -m everywhere

Copy and paste the code is the same result.

Re: Tricia to Ulyana killed Samsung C1860FW network printer

Sorry for the delay in the reply. I had essentially given up trying to print from Mint, sending everything to my phone.
I don't know if my entry was correct in terminal but tried several times to assure I had no typo. Here's what I get back:

lpadmin: Bad printer URI "URI".

Re: Tricia to Ulyana killed Samsung C1860FW network printer

And just so it's clear, the printer doesn't print with a USB cable connected, either. It never sees a file in the print queue.

Tricia to Ulyana killed Samsung C1860FW network printer

I upgraded from Tricia to Ulyana. My wifi home networked Samsung C1860FW does not print, but my Canon G3200 does. Initially, I was getting some kind of error that a CUPS file was missing but unfortunately didn't record the error. I purged CUPS and reinstalled it; the error went away. I used the GUI ...

Re: Epson R320 won't print

I don't see any way to set this as solved. I'm not even sure what I did to fix the problem. My HP Color LaserJet M377dw now prints, and so does my Epson R320. I do have a constant yellow exclamation mark on the Epson icon, and get a return message the ink level filter is missing, but it prints, anyw...

Re: Epson R320 won't print

Ah, rats! I read something which convinced me that installing the printer by using the "localhost:631" method would work. Well, it did get rid of my "no ink/toner level filter installed" message, but now I'm back to square one. The printer has no errors...and also does absolutely nothing...just as b...

Re: Epson R320 won't print

Again, ten-four I need a new photo printer! The R320 needs to go, but I already have it and full ink cartridges. I hope to be replacing it in a month; I'm still absorbing the cost of my new HP Color LaserJet. At up to 24 ppm, it's a very nice and screaming printer for home use! It unfortunately does...

Re: Epson R320 won't print

Ten-four that I need a new PHOTO PRINTER! I'll remember in my next lifetime to be a billionaire, so a new printer price tag will be irrelevant. I just got a brand new HP Color LaserJet for my general home printing purposes, but it's obviously not photo quality. Maybe next month I can get a new photo...

Epson R320 won't print

I switched to Linux Mint 18.1 32 bit Cinnamon from Windows 7, yesterday! I also put Mint 18.1 64 bit on an ASUS laptop. I should have gotten rid of MS Windows years ago! So, I'm a moron at Linux but at least smart enough (eventually) to have switched over! The subject computer is a HP Pavillion PC w...
