I think there must be a clitch with the website, because even in Mint it has the aarnet mirrors for updates, and when I downloaded them that is the mirror the website gave me :) Plus the SHA256 matches so it must be safe, I delete history after two days. I notice https://www.linuxmint.com/mirrors.php no longer has the arrnet mirror listed yet it has the files on the mirror, are they safe?

Jokes :) Yep I am preety sure its correct as the folder is /stable/18 and the checksum matches the non beta one, and if it was a beta version the checksum would be different and like you said it would show it as a beta on the file name in the text file that ...

Sadly, I renamed the file on download to LMC.iso :( :( :( :( I presume that the final release would have a different sha256 to the beta? I have checked the SHA256 number that is listed in http://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/linuxmint/stable/18/sha256sum.txt and this seems to match the iso that I have do...
