Re: Feature Request: Grouped Windows List to display window count of '1'

Actually... This doesn't quite work right, as it leaves a '1' badge after the last window of a pinned app is closed. Adding a call to calcWindowNumber() at a suitable place within the windowRemoved() handler fixes that issue. For the current version of code, the following works nicely: 896 this.grou...

Re: Feature Request: Grouped Windows List to display window count of '1'

Thank you!

Works like a charm. Current version has this code block at line 1041.

Feature Request: Grouped Windows List to display window count of '1'

I really like the Grouped Windows List applet, except that I cannot easily see what apps currently have a window open unless it has two or more open. Would it be possible to include a config option to display a count of '1' when only a single window is active? The way this works in the CobiWindowLis...

What's wrong with creating a gksu link to pkexec? Seems to work just fine.

Re: [Solved] - Mint 18.1 Cinnamon Touchscreen Rotation

Hi Demal, I am running kernel 4.4.0-62, but your version shouldn't be significantly different. Have you checked your Cinnamon Settings? Under Preferences, General, there is the Disable automatic screen rotation, make sure it is OFF. It is not clear to me whether you are having trouble with Video Scr...

Re: [Solved] - Mint 18.1 Cinnamon Touchscreen Rotation

Just a bit of extra information on this: Since upgrading to Mint 18.2 I have noticed that the above script still works great so long as kernel V4.4 is in use. I tried kernel V4.8 and this results in the display and touch screen always being rotated 90 degrees clockwise - most un-useful. With kernel ...

Re: Mint 18.1 Cinnamon Touchscreen Rotation

I have now been running the auto-rotate script below for some time, and it is reliably rotating the touch screen orientation. You will need to make sure the iio-sensor-proxy package and inotify-tools are installed, and auto start this script on user login. Check out chadm's blog item as referenced i...

Re: Mint 18.1 Cinnamon Touchscreen Rotation

Don't know how the Subject title got mangled, but i have fixed it. Hi mtambo, display rotation worked for me striaight away after upgrading to 18.1 and installing iio-sensor-proxy (though I may have needed to restart). Another problem I have seen reported is that rotation may not work until you have...

[Solved] - Mint 18.1 Cinnamon Touchscreen Rotation

Hi, I am a newbie to the forum. I am using Mint 18.1 Cinnamon on a Dell 2 in 1, Inspiron 15 7568. I have installed iio-sensor-proxy and the display rotates automatically and correctly. However, I cannot figure out how to get the touchscreen to also rotate automatically. I would have thought that the...
