I have tried to upgrade to newer kernels and none of them worked well for me. It caused, crashes, blank screens, system freeze etc.. so this is not a good option. I downloaded and tried iwlwifi-cc-a0-46.ucode and iwlwifi-cc-a0-48.ucode and it does not work. Can anyone tell me how to download the bac...

The default display settings don't have the resolution that I need. Which is why I'm doing all of this.

I have to use the NVIDIA X Server Settings to change the resolution. And I do this manually through the GUI interface.

If there is a script I can use to execute on start up that would be great.

Thanks for the help, looks like I'm stuck with manually changing the resolution each time I log into linux mint. Very annoying but it must be done.

yea i saw some post that use the double quotes, some that don't.

i tried both neither works. i still get the error.
