Just another way you could do this would be through the browser itself...i use this method because the only time i would even need to check times elsewhere is when im already in the browser, dont need it when im offline...i just bookmark it in the browser and its quick and easy...website to bookmark...

Intel atom processors were never meant to run a cinnamon desktop, they are not powerful enough to do so. you need to use a distro that uses far less resources. Oddly enough, mine is also a "dumpster babay" rescue box as well and what Athi said about the delete key is also probably true with your box...also you cannot just flash the bios from the motherboard bios using linux...refer to Athi's first posting here for the methods used to flash bios using linux...

No need to worry, mine does the same...just hit your f2 key when you hear the "beep" on your reboot and it should come up just fine...i hit the key rapidly after the beep until the bios shows...DAMIEN

just how do you intend to flash your bios using a Linux OS ?

my netbook as well as my laptops never go past 56 degrees celsius...i do keep them free of dust etc....if your sure yours is clean i would recommend installing "TLP" it is meant to help save battery life between charges but is also known to help keep laptops running cooler as well...you dont have to...

do these one at a time...reboot, and then see if you are able to update brave or if it is in fact already done...your authentication keys are what i have in my "bionic" edition...they may be different in your "zenial" edition...i would remove them and then, then reboot and then do the following list...
