Re: multi-boot with EFI systemd boot

...from the Arch wiki (that you linked)... It should be noted that systemd-boot is only able to load the EFISTUB kernel from the EFI system partition (ESP). ................ If the ESP is not mounted to /boot, the kernel and initramfs files must be copied onto that ESP. From JeremyB's link... The en...

Do check for further hints the 'Related Articles' in the sidebar as well etc. llvmpipe means you're only getting software rendering there. ...vdpau (somewhat on it's way out nowadays) is an Nvidia-invented api / thing actually, so with Nvidia hardware & close src driver, you have 'native' support for such... nouveau / radeon etc provide such as well (to a lesser extend of support i would assume). Re: Kernel 5.0 is it dangerous to upgrade?

There were filesystem corruption-related issues with both early revisions of 4.19.x & 5.1.x as well as a mere example. Actually mid to late revisions of 4.19 and first half of 4.20 as well. So yes, those warnings we slap on the use of mainline kernels are not for no reason. The latest and greatest ...

Re: So i tried zorin and pop_os

I was disappointed when System76 decided to make their own distro. Maybe more than disappointed, borderline angry. There are hundreds of distros. There are at least a dozen good ones. They couldn't use one of those? If there was something else they wanted to do, they couldn't use all the developmen...

...i'm none the wiser either, but at the very least Nvidia appears to be crashing in your log there.
You might however want to experiment with nouveau.modeset=0 and/or modprobe.blacklist=nouveau in grub's parameters
(or even better wait for someone familiar with NVidia quirks to provide feedback).

It seems Canonical has also moved such from restricted to main as it is... I don't have much of an opinion on this myself (i mean, nowadays, i assume that at worst case scenario, they might lag behind Debian a couple days or so, say to do their own further internal testing, but i wouldn't really exp...

All the how-to's on my website have been modified (wherever necessary) for Tina: https://easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot.com ...you might want to rewrite / modify the section for iwlwifi at some point, and instead point to linux-firmware's git directly (as suggested by the devs there as well). ...the hype (Pop_OS) is because they are an actual computer manufacturer. It's not like there are many out there focusing on Linux - quite the contrary, and if you buy one of their systems, you know it will work properly out of the box. That is, because in that manner, they control both the hardware...
