Re: Nvme legacy boot?

Legacy is limited to a max drive size of 2TB and a max of four primary partitions or three primary partitions and an extended partition. You can put logical partitions inside the extended partition. Not completely true regarding the 4 primary limit. I use TeraByte Unlimited's BIBM which allows unli...

Re: Moving SWAP to increase partition size

You don't really need a swap partition if using Mint 19 or 20, it automatically creates a swap file when installing.

Re: Do I Have To Switch To The Nvidia Driver?

Some people have problems under certain circumstances but it's nothing that can't be fixed quickly and easily. If only that was true ! It can be if they learn to use Timeshift before buggering about with their machines first  Got sick and tired of restoring Mint 20 when I can't use the ...

Re: Apparent Mint 20 nvidia - libseccomp conflict?

It seems that I will have to once again perform a clean installation of my LM 20 system. Uninstalling the nvidia driver with Driver Manager does not work properly, I do not have a snapshot from before installing the driver, and I feel uncomfortable trying any command line driver purging. However, a...

Re: Apparent Mint 20 nvidia - libseccomp conflict?

Sorry if this might seem off topic but I think it is related to this topic. I have completely given up on Mint 20 for now, never had so much trouble with a Mint upgrade/clean install and Nvidia. First I tried the upgrade route with 19.3 to 20, everything went fine until I rebooted and was stuck in 6...

I use a Brother Mono Laser and a Brother multi function color laser, both work fine in Mint/Ubuntu and Win10.

Re: "Image For Linux"

I'm assuming you are talking about the TeraByte Unlimited product ? If so, I've been using their BIBM products for years, wouldn't use anything else. I like the fact I can have unlimited primary partitions in legacy mode, no need to bother with UEFI. This machine has Win10, Linux Mint, Ubuntu, in va...

Re: How to get Nemo to remember last dual Pane setting

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated ! I'll work on what you posted today. Seems like it should be a no-brainer to remember the last HD/ directories used on a restart. Maybe I'm just too spoilt using Directory Opus in Windows and Amiga for years. Thanks for posting that question in Github, ...

How to get Nemo to remember last dual Pane setting

I know the answer was posted somewhere in the Forums but can't find it.
I always start Nemo in Dual Pane mode and then I open one HD in one pane, and another HD in the other, but whenever I restart Nemo it's back to the same HD in both panes.

One thing that irks me is that when you have won the game, there is no option to auto play all the cards, you have to put each card on the decks until they are all placed.

Re: Boot Loop ? Beeps twice 20 seconds apart.

Not much to be confused about. This version of Mint and your GPU/motherboard combo are incompatible. Life's to short to be obsessed with things like this. :) Either change GPU's or the version of Mint and move on. You say a previous version of Mint works so use that or a different flavour like Manja...

Re: Boot Loop ? Beeps twice 20 seconds apart.

Well if you have a spare GPU to try, go for it, that only takes a few minutes !

Not sure if you would have to do a new install of Mint for a GPU change, I would think not.

What GPU do you have for a few days ?

Re: Boot Loop ? Beeps twice 20 seconds apart.

One thing you could try if you really want to narrow down the cuprit.

Install Ubuntu on the SSD if your current Mint installation is not critical to keep.

I personally think it's something in Mint and your motherboard combo

As Flemur alluded to in his post above "Also you might be able to do this with a GUI thru the 'disks' program". I have multiple HD's and I automounted all the ones I wanted simply by going to : Start menu/Preferences/Disks, then pick the HD you want and click on the gear icon below the HD (automount...
