Re: Nautilus: How to change the display order of the file/folder properties in the list view?

I apologize not mentioning in my question and title that I ask for Nautilus. I adapted the title now. I did not find a secure delete file/folder option for Nemo which works inside Nemo but for Nautilus (context menu) with Nautilus wipe from the repository. Happy if you reconsider my question from th...

[SOLVED] Nautilus and desktop background in Linux Mint 18.3

Hi :-) I prefer Nautilus over Nemo as it is faster and does not freeze so often. One (little) problem with it: When started, the desktop background picture vanishes and just black desktop background shows up. Only at the next startup my desktop background picture will come up again. System: Host: bu...

Re: How to burn an Audio-CD with Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon

Dear, thanks a lot for your help. Praise to God for this. You brought me along a process to finally make it. Installed Soundconverter, converted mp3s to wavs, added to xfburn and was able to burn it on 3 CD-Rs. By the way, none of them was lost by my former recording attempts described above. They n...

Re: How to burn an Audio-CD with Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon

Not sure why you would have any problems using mp3 files to create a CD in Linux Mint 18.x. What application(s) did you just try, "xfburn" or "K3b"? Have you ever created a music (audio) CD before with this same computer hardware? You can also install "ubuntu-restricted-extras" and "udftools" from ...

Thanks. It seems I need a mp3 to wav converter so K3B or other software would let me add mp3s to an Audio project. How to get this?

[SOLVED] How to burn an Audio-CD with Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon

Hi :-) I can not burn an Audio CD with Brasero. Data-CD is OK with Brasero. Also with sudo the CD immediately is ejected when I try to burn. XFburn says to my mp3: GStreamer does not like the file. Going to the next page without skipping text lines?

Hi :) When scrolling by clicking the space bar or page down I have a problem. [SOLVED] How to find field entries in a column in 1.ods which are not in 2.ods?

Hi :-)

I want to find out the email addresses in a file which are not in a specific other file (csv, ods, odt, one of these would be enough for me as I can convert them easily).
