Just my two cents - I never upgrade without thorough testing. I run Mint18.3 Mate as my primary OS but try out new versions (19x) by dual booting. So far, my trials with Mint19 have spawned only one problem - can't get shared folders to work. As for those of you who want to try an upgrade I strongly...

I don't see replies to your post & this is not a resolution reply. I also dual booted with mint18.3 then mint19. As usual the last to be installed takes first place on boot. I don't want this! I want mint18.3 to boot first. I've read through several post regarding how to modify grub to set the prefe...

Mint 18.1 Software manager

The Software Manager loads normally after asking for password but then the window opens for 1 second and disappears. No button in taskbar. Also, on installing, at some point near the end of install a window opens stating that someone has changed a package "keep the current or use the package manager...
