Re: What is Win+Space for?

I'm rather surprised this subject has lived so long, as the OP hasn't responded since his original post, way back in Sept 2018

Re: Compose Key Issues - Alt+0150 doesn't work.

I don't use a Compose key but rely upon holding down Ctrl+Shift+U then releasing and typing the code. In the example you give I get what is described as Latin Capital O with Double acute.

I cannot repeat it on this forum page.

Re: authenticating?

Hi Millipede, This may not be looked upon by the purists as the thing to do, but as long as you have downloaded LinuxMint from the official source and received no errors when burning it to a DVD or USB stick, it should boot and run on your computer. If it doesn't you haven't lost anything by trying....

Installed font not appearing...

Using LM v19.1 Mate and LibreOffice v6.0.7.3 Downloaded the font Brushcript Regular and installed it in /usr/share/fonts/truetype. Launched LibreOffice and opened Writer document and found that Brushscript Regular was not included in the Font menu. Rebooted the computer. Navigated to /usr/share/font...

Have a look at Osmo. You can install it from Package Manager (Synaptic). It is very versatile as it includes four modules: Calendar, Tasks, Contact, Notes. I use all of them and find it invaluable.

By Preszi I guess you are referring to a presentation program. Am I correct? If so, have you tried opening it with LibreOffice Impress? It is installed by default.

I don't think I can help you from my experience but as I'd never heard of MOK before I did a little research and came up with

Re: Would a launcher like DASH be welcomed?

As I use LM19.1 Mate this probably doesn't apply to me. However, here are my comments, for what they are worth. I have tried all the current docks (launchers) to give me a visible representation of programs and, although I feel they have their purpose, they are just not for me. - invariably too muc...
