Re: linux mint 19.1 Cinnamon stability issues

There was an update to the adobe-flashplayer today that seems to stabilize Firefox (so far).

I'll post an update later if the OS is more stable because of this. If this is the case it is still puzzling how a plugin in user space can freeze the entire OS. I thought this was reserved for Windows.

linux mint 19.1 Cinnamon stability issues

Hi all, Ever since I upgraded to mint 19 and then 19.1 I was having stability issues but they were tolerable. After recent upgrades (I believe tied to the mesa drivers upgrade on February 9 2019) Firefox started crashing tabs or entirely every minute (Chrome less often) and the entire OS freezes at ...

Re: Ctrl+Shift+left, Ctrl+Shift+right bug

In my case, I have selected the Ctrl+Shift to switch between the layouts. You can open the "Keyboard Settings", go to "Layouts" an...

Re: L2TP VPN Client

Hi NatLun123, There are some posts from Apr 26, 2017 on in this thread that may help you. If you are using Microsoft domain authentication, you may need to check only the MSCHAPv2 authentication method in the L2TP PPP Options. You can also scan the vpn gateway (using the method described in my earli...

Re: L2TP VPN Client

i have been trying to get IPsec/L2tp preshared key to work for sometime with no success. My problem is 2 fold, 1) I am a novice in Linux and although very familiar with windows, I would like to move away since the launch of W10. (the learning curve is steep) 2) I have a small windows server that is...

Re: L2TP VPN Client

Thanks to Doug who maintains the library, there was a quick resolution. So we don't bother him all at once, I wan to share the solution in my case. What he did is execute: sudo systemctl stop strongswan sudo ike-scan <your VPN gateway> which responded with Starting ike-scan 1.9 with 1 hosts (http://...
