I would like to use Mint for everything, but mine wont do bank authorisations and I have to do the whole transaction again on Windows. Is there a way to make it work?

Thank you all for your help with my wiping-the-harddrive problem. I have now learned that it was a bad mistake to wipe the HD and that I have rendered the start inoperative. My friendly repair man says that Lenovo could restore the PC, but failing that it is dead. Again, many thanks.

Greetings, Thank you for your reply to my problem, but I dont see how to advance given that my computer no longer has an OS. I cannot access a command line. What shall I do? fidddlur.
