[SOLVED] OpenCL and Cuda Not detected.
I am getting this error on my F@H client that libOpenCL.so & libCuda.so are not detected.
But the nVidia drivers are installed and nvidia-settings does not mention any problem.
I'm I missing a package or is this a conflict issue with my GPUs?

Re: Loading Broadcom BCM4311 drivers
I've never had any issue with getting a Broadcom driver to load after installing it. The question is: which driver? That blog isn;t all that good ... you NEED to get the PCI ID with Broadcom cards and they don't mention that ... plus the article is from 2013. There's very little backwards compatibi...

Loading Broadcom BCM4311 drivers
I was working on this issue for a while, finally finding a solution which linked to this page http://linuxg.net/how-to-fix-broadcom-bcm4311-wireless-driver-on-ubuntu-and-linux-mint/ I removed and purged bcmwl-kernel-source Used the b43-installer mentioned on another guide. My main issue is how can I...

While it is a windows machine, it is a Windows 9x machine so the hard drive is most likely formatted as FAT32.

Re: Best way to clone a dying HDD.
I'd look at any of clonezilla, redo, macrium reflect, acronis to try and take an image. Assume you have enough USB ports to copy to a thumb drive. I do have Acronis True Image Home 2011 as a bootable DVD. But it may not boot on a Windows 98 machine where linux has a better chance, which is why I am...

I am a linux nub as well but I take it you have gone to Start>Control Center>Preferred Applications And set the "Web" to Google Chrome or Opera. If so, I can replicate your issue when I try to open a .HTM file. It keeps opening firefox. The only way I can get it to change is if I right cli...

when a string of updates screwed up every single one of them. Have you heard? The 1809 January release seems to have an issue with it disabling the admin account on computers that have it enabled by the user. To translate into linux it would be like an update preventing you from using the log...

I know, but I am one of those select few freaks that knows how to use a windows computer safely without an anti malware protecting them.Translucency wrote: ↑Fri Jan 04, 2019 4:43 pmSorry. I meant no offense. I should have said "some less-technical Windows users."

I know what I does, I disabled it without running antimalware as I hate being questioned about my actions.Translucency wrote: ↑Fri Jan 04, 2019 4:06 pmWindows users also set themselves up for trouble by disabling UAC without understanding what it does. So then everything they run can potentially have admin privileges.

Re: Can't update
Theoritically, you only need only the 2nd command, removing the lists entirely, as such will get re-generated properly via the followed apt update (ie. without even having to make a back-up of them). But as I haven't used Debian since many yrs now, i thought of asking you to take a more conservativ...

I may be a crazy reckless freak but I do not run an anti malware on my windows PC and have not had any issues in over 3 years.
