grub-pc üpdate from 2.02-2ubuntu8.2 to 2.02-ubuntu8.3 (if you have at least opted for the latest grub-pc version) has solved the problem of the Grub_Timeout (which only functions properly after a second reboot)

#GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE=hidden That's not the right way.... It should be: GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE=menu Hashtagging that line will confuse Grub, so that it needs to load twice before showing the menu. By changing "hidden" into "menu", there's no confusion for Grub and it'll show the menu upon first load. :) ...
