Re: Logitech Wireless Mice

Been using Logitech combo (K520/M310) for two years no issues. Using Dell XPS 13 & Cinnamon (currently @ 19.2). Let me know if you want any of my 'inxi info' if it will help.

Re: Bluetooth Audio

Gents, ...I tried several things (reading posts around here) and at one stage I got the headphones to pair but sound was stuttering like crazy, unusable. Trying to fix that I am sure I broke something and now no matter what the headphones do not pair. The system does see the headphones and attempts...

Metronomes are one of the best tools around ... if you can't play in time it doesn't matter that else you can do ... but at first most people HATE them.

Re: Autoharp?

@rumpus, Just saw a Maybelle video, WOW!

Obviously will need a tuner. Have seen some people recommend an app on iPhone.

I have reserved a rental for the course I will take in Sept. So I have some time to research before spending big bucks!

Thanks for your comments!

Re: Autoharp?

There does seem to be quite a few videos but I'd also budget for a chromatic tuner (they're cheap). Because, while I've never tried one, it looks to me like an instrument that'd he harder to tune than to play. Looks that way to me as well. The autoharpstore.com includes a chromatic tuner with purch...

Had to look up what kind of instrument that was. This video explains it very well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VD4Y7yjC8jM. Perhaps that channel's tutorials would be useful.
Jo Ann has many great AH videos on utube. Thanks

FYI, I found many helpful tips for LO Base on YouTube. Looks for ‘frugal computer guy base’. He also has tons of tutorials on his web site (https://thefrugalcomputerguy.com/seriespg.php?ser=15/ ).

Hope that helps :!:

If you want to practice from the book, use a secondary system or do it in a Virtual Machine. That way your main system keeps save.
Excellent suggestion! Always experiment in a VM such as Virtual Box or VM Ware. Both can be used for free!

Books quickly become the old way. They do not keep up with constant change in tech. Best sources are this forum and search engines like Google!

@roblm, Thank you so much for your suggestions. I have been offline for a couple weeks as we have just moved into a new house we have just built and we are still unpacking and connecting all the services required. I hope to continue this exercise in a couple days.

TIA

@roblm, sorry for the delay, I've been offline for a few days. Thanks for the many suggestions. I should tell you that this same PC and monitor worked when I used WIN10. But I deleted WIN10 and installed LM 19.1, now it is a no go! Hardware is all the same, only thing that changed in the OS. The 'so...

Perhaps your bios points to DVD as first choice in boot sequence? If not present then it looks a your internal drive?

Re: Use external monitor?

@roblm,

1) only USB-C ports, requiring the use of an adapter.

2) Is the TV detected if you run a live session using the Mint installation USB/DVD? NO.

Two more pix attached.
