Re: Zoom tips

I have version 5.5.2 (7011.0206) flatpak right out of Software Manager and it has always worked great. It's a little better that jitsi and far better than other platforms I have tried. Someday I will probably pay for it, but I just haven't needed to yet. I hear they are working on a Remote Desktop ...

Zoom tips

If you use the Zoom program, especially via the .deb download, check for updates on a regular basis. They update frequently and it is a quick and easy process to get the latest installed. Current version on 3/3/21 is 5.5.4 (7938.0228). I believe the '0228' is the release date. Here's a copy of the k...

Hey Nic, Glad I could help! Make sure you keep your Zoom up to date. They update frequently. I just updated yesterday to version 5.5.4 (7938.0228). I support an adult ed org for online Zoom classes. The latest crowd we've had so far was 36 people. We meet several times a week. Please shout out if yo...

online pinochle?

Any pinochle players?

I plan to teach some senior citizens how to play pinochle during the pandemic. Has to be online since most all players will be M/S or MAC.

TIA

@AZgl1500, Excellent tip! I had to look for the option but here is what Google search found: "If you enable AutoRecovery option in LibreOffice (Tools > Options > Load/Save > General > Save AutoRecovery information every N minutes) it creates an autosave file for each open document that has unsa...

Change the audio codec to something more common, aac or mp3.
MP3 fixed it.

Thanks! :D

[SOLVED] SSR: no sound on shared .mp4

I have used the Simple Screen Recorded several times and I like it. I tried to share the mp4 file with others (non-Linux users) and they get no sound. I tried on MAC, iOS and windows. I was surprised because the play back on my Mint was just fine. It is probably one of the SSR settings but I have no...

Re: Zoom Issues

Hi. I've actually jumped from the 5.4.xx kernel to 5.8 in the hope that would resolve my problems, unfortunately not. Hard Drive is fine although 10 years old, though an upgrade could be in order. As I said though the issues only appear in Linux not on Windows. I posted this in the LMDE forum, to s...

Re: Virtual Box, Windows 10 and USB

Are you sure you have USB 2.0? Could it be 3.0? I think you have to release it from Mint - look for icon in panel, click right. I am trying to remember; no longer using VBOX. Are you really using Mint 20.2? Would be helpful if you post sys info: Please provide your hardware and software info. Post t...
