Re: Trying to run Win7 on Win10 VB

Perhaps this should be moved to a different forum? It does not seem to have anything to do with Mint or software & applications!

It seems to stop working after some of the reboots. Not every time though.
Perhaps weak batteries (assuming it is wireless)?
Can you try a different mouse just to try to eliminate that device?

@wallyUSA

For future reference, when some puts a one-line command in a code tag like Marziano did, you can click on the 'SELECT ALL' above where the code is, right-click and copy, then paste the command into a Terminal window by right-clicking and paste.
@JerryF: Nice to know. Thanks!

Not sure that will work so the title is

Why are you trying sudo dpkg -i google-chrome-stable_current_i386.deb when the file in the directory is google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb?
The command posted by Marziano should work
My bad! Thank you.

Guess I was intimidated by having to use cli. Looks like it worked! :roll:

[SOLVED] Install Chrome Browser on Tara Cinnamon?

I downloaded 'google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb' but can not install. I double click but nothing seems to happen.

Can this be done in graphics mode?

If not, from the cli? I (gui user) would need help with the cli syntax.

Thanks

A proposito, come o d...

Simplier solution would be to use VirtualBox! Then you would a bi-directional I/F :)

Re: Linux Mint 19 codenamed “Tara”

I use the "Backup Tool" in Mint 18.3 regularly, so I was wondering when Mint 19 arrives, can I do the install by wiping the drive and installing 19 and then restore my backups with the "Backup Tool". I also do the extra software that I have installed with the "Backup Tool" so all i need to do is re...

Re: why doesnt libre writer give me print quality options?

Well something weird happened because now I find an option for quality in the Libre dialog. It was buried pretty deep so maybe I just never found it in the last 2 years. :lol: Perhaps you can give us a few tips on how to find this? It may help someone else. :wink: Thanks for sharing the answer. Ple...

I remembered the address to put in the blank at Printers > New Printer - Enter URI. It is http://localhost:631/admin. That got me to "Choose a New Driver. Need to buy a new laptop in a shop.
They have no idea on whether linux will work on it or not.
What's my best guess?
I was thinking to go for a Dell.
Several Dell systems have worked for me. No issues. :D

What is the difference between cloud online backup and regular online backup?
What do you mean by 'regular online backup'? Is it a service or a program? Where is the 'backup' stored?
