I'll be back in this forum to read up on Mint again while getting back to Linux.

Re: LO Writer not saving hyperlinks in a .doc file?

You can easily ask there as you do here. That's why its called "Ask Libreoffice". :D OK I'll try again. I just did searching but I will create my own post this time. UPDATE: Here is the latest update from ask.libreoffice: odt (more exactly ODF), doc and docx are three different format. OD...

Re: LO Writer not saving hyperlinks in a .doc file?

UPDATE: I discovered saving the .DOC format seemed to work. Previously I was using the .DOCX format, which is the one that did not work!

Tried the LO Forum but could not find anything helpful.

Will mark this SOLVED for now. Thanks!

OK, finally deleted old version and tested the new version. New version works the same as old version.

Any other ideas/suggestions? If not, I'll try the LO Forum.

Thanks for assistance!

Re: LO Writer not saving hyperlinks in a .doc file?

@Dan-cer,
How do you add a hyperlink?
Test doc file.docx
(5.62 KiB) Downloaded 23 times
Test ODT file.odt
(11.89 KiB) Downloaded 27 times
Simple files attached. I click the url from a browser and paste it following the 'Google' text on a new line. When I re-open the files, the link in the .doc does not work but the one in the .odt does.

After save and re-open the file, the hyperlink no longer works. The original text is still in place but clicking on the link does nothing. The text is s...

@antonspon, I am not a techy but I have some questions that might help. There may be something that is tying up the sys resources needed.
