Re: Multiple Folders into Multiple 7zip Files with Encryption

Thanks fot the replies. About Peazip... when I was looking for a solution for this, I came across Peazip, which in my opinion is very good. But in this case the whole thing is to use it in the command line or a script. This weekend I've found to way to do it. After a lot of trying it was simpler tha...

Re: Multiple Folders into Multiple 7zip Files with Encryption

If you can do it in Windows command line, you can surely do it in Linux command line. Download the book found at the link below, and you should be able to crank out a command to do that pretty quickly. And if not, I bet one of the wizards here on the forums can give you a one liner to do that. http...

Re: Removed Partition In Order To Reinstall; Now Won't Boot

I own a Dell Latitude. I dual boot Windows 10 and Linux Mint. Linux Mint file system became too full. I couldn't extend partition space. To get around this, I booted Windows, deleted the Linux Mint partition, and planned to reinstall Linux Mint with a larger partition. I restarted my computer and n...

Re: Removed Partition In Order To Reinstall; Now Won't Boot

I think you installed the Grub Loader in the partition you just deleted (formatted). But since you've deleted the partition, there's no point in recovering that. What you need is a Windows Installation Disk and fix boot. After booting into windows normally, log off and reintall Linuxmint. Hope it he...

Re: Multiple Folders into Multiple 7zip Files with Encryption

7zip accept using a listfile as input. I recommend that before doing multiple calls to build up the 7z file. Hey SprinterDriver... I think if you put two or more directories in the input section, all of them go to a single 7z file... that's not what I'm after. I do this in Windows using this: for /...

Multiple Folders into Multiple 7zip Files with Encryption

Hello everyone. I'd like to ask for your help for my files at work. I have multiple folders each containg information from projects. I just learned how to compress them into 7z in the command line. Re: New Distros and Home Encryption

Thanks for the response Cosmo. The whole idea came to me when I was doing backup. Is just private information that I want to keep for myself. Normally I would use 7z with encryption for a folder i want secure, but i can't really work with it because it's compressed. But encrypting just a folder woul...

[ANSWERED] New Distros and Home Encryption

Hello everyone. I wasn't sure if I should post this here, or if there's another thread related. Forgive me if there is. So I've been installing a lot of distros, so far Mint KDE seems awesome, only because cinnamon started to crash on me. Anyway, after a lot of installations I wanted to encrypt the ...

Re: Problem with Windows Fast Startup and LM18.1

... You have to DISABLE Fast Startup in Windows -- if you want to be able to access the Windows filesystems from Linux. Unfortunately, Memoox may not be able to do this because he has been assigned as a Standard user. Exactly... Is a long story but is a pain to ask them something.. I have to put pr...

Re: Problem with Windows Fast Startup and LM18.1

Well... I saw the topic... (I don't how to quote just yet)... And I'll try modifying those files... But "messing" around with hibernation files... If I break Windows... I'm in trouble. About if I can do this... There's no indication that I can't.. But if I were the IT Guys.. I wouldn't let them... R...

Problem with Windows Fast Startup and LM18.1

Hello everyone. I've been gone for a while, but destiny calls again and I'm back with Linux. I have a laptop at work, and with the new policies, they've put windows 10 and assigned me a user, without administrative rights. Can't do much of my work efficiently because I don't have really any control ...

Re: 4 Player in the Living room

Thanks for the reply..

LGDB seems to me like the WineHQ database... it just tells me if a game is playable or not.

The games Im looking for have to be playable locally... they have to playable in the living room with family members that dont know much of linux or computers.

Any thoughts?

4 Player in the Living room

Hello everyone... It's been a while since my last post... but here it goes... I bought a new PC, that now is my main pc at home, but the previous one is now, for a lack of a better place, in the living room. It's an old but very reliable AMD Athlon 64 X2 3GB RAM 80GB Nvidia 8600 GFX, with a brand ne...

Re: Linux Mint 18, primeras impresiones

Re: restaurar sistema ubuntu a dia anterior
