Re: fonts ( Solved)
Tried this but when I wanted to close the text editor it asked if I wanted to save the changes or not before closing. I chose to save the changes then another screen opened saying I did not have the permissions to edit the cinnamon.css file??

Re: kernel 4.8.0.58 Generic update
Hi again Joe,
I'm not at all disappointed with Cinnamon 18.2. Just passing on my experience so that it can be fixed before it is released. Linux Mint 18.2 KDE and Xfce, both work like a dream..Well done to the team at Linux Mint

Re: kernel 4.8.0.58 Generic update
Hi,
Yes I'm still very much of a newbie. I just so like the simplicity yet effective running of Linux Mint, not to mention the speed compared to Windows10. The latter and I have parted company ...and I'm thoroughly enjoying computing with Linux Mint again

kernel 4.8.0.58 Generic update
When I booted to Linux Mint 18.2 Cinnamon the update manager indicated that there was an update, which turned out to be Kernel 4.8.0-58.63~16.04.1. During installation it changed to Kernel `4.8.58 generic and at the end of installation there was a message that the security was unable to be installed!
