I would appreciate if someone would open their menu editor and tell me what the command is being executed to run Back In Time. (Just the regular version)

It says "backintime-qt", is that what you expected?

Back in Time works fine for me on Mint Cinnamon 21.3. It was installed with software manager (Backintime-qt version 1.2.1)

During startup on the w520, it literally says "To interrupt normal startup, press the ThinkVantage blue button"

Owner of a w520 here. During startup, press the blue button labelled ThinkVantage next to the on/off button. This will display a screen where you will find the choice for entering the BIOS

This can be tweaked in sytem parameters > themes > parameters. Not sure about other DEs but it is available in Cinnamon

After trying both nvidia drivers without success, restarting the computer every time, I came back to using the nouveau driver... and it started working again!
