use .xprofile instead in your home folder. create a file called .xprofile and paste the following into it. xrandr --newmode "1368x768_60.00" 85.25 1368 1440 1576 1784 768 771 781 798 -hsync +vsync xrandr --addmode VGA-0 1368x768_60.00 Log out, then back in. Hi, I am a newbie and it's my day 2 on linux platform. I"m on Linux Mint 18.2 "Sonya" Cinnamon 64-bit.
