Had a similar problem with CitiesXL (very similar game) and it turned out to be graphics drivers that were the problem. Alright so i tried something else
I added a fat32 flagged as boot and esp and after that i tried to do a normal boot-repair. That seemed to have done the trick, it starts instantly on linux mint and nothing is lost.
However i can't access the grub menu though.

UEFI mode is good (your USB isn't booted in EFI mode but might be something about the USB, hopefully it won't matter). The partition it is asking about is an unformatted partition of 1 MB size that's flagged bios_grub in gparted.
But when i create an unformatted partition that's flagged bios_grub i get the same message

[SOLVED]accidentally removed boot partition

While formatting a Sd card i accidentally removed the boot partition.
OS when i start the computer now it says "no bootable device found"
would boor-repair do the trick?
