No. This is an international forum so the people who can help you might be asleep or away on holiday or otherwise doing something with their life. This is why the forum rules specify 48 hours before you can or should bump a topic, not 14 hours. Also, we are volunteers so there is a chance, though r...

[iBus on Tara 19]I have to click 3 times to change language input

I can tell it's a bug because I didn't have it on Mint 18 - 18.3. Every time I need to change language input (from English to Vietnamese and opposite), I have to click the iBus icon three times to close the context menu. If I dont click 3 times enough, the context menu will be on screen forever even...

Can I...

Re: Dragging windows isn't smooth when reaching screen edge

it aggravates me too. I am dragging a window that is about 2x3 inches and when it touches the screen edge, it suddenly goes to Maximum, Full Screen... really is irritating and the developers need to FIX IT..... Microsoft Windows does not do that..... in fact, I drag screens completely off screen al...

Re: Dragging windows isn't smooth when reaching screen edge

So can I disable it? I read a reply One of the original problems brought up in this thread is also changed. In System settings->Windows->Behavior there is now a setting to disable "Edge resistance with other windows". That will stop the resistance you get when windows but up against each other. Just...

Dragging windows isn't smooth when reaching screen edge

I don't know how to describe it, or it might have a topic about it.
When I drag a window around the screen, it kind of stops a bit when the window border reaches screen edge. Is it normal? Can Mint team make it smooth?

Should I re-install intel microcode after I manually update?

I have tried to use this https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/315049/cannot-install-intel-graphics-driver-on-linux-mint-18 to update my intel HD graphic, but I see no difference so I want to get back the previous version. I'm using LM 18.3 Cinnamon. The current intel-microcode version is 3.20170...

Re: Partition strategy for Installing Mint with Win7 and Win 10

Thank you! I have tried to change D to Logical using Partition Wizard and it's okay. Then I shrink 20GB for my Linux and install on it. Luckily, everything is fine, data are kept. My laptop is Asus K55A, 15.6" core i5, which I see in the list https://community.linuxmint.com/hardware/search can work ...

Re: Partition strategy for Installing Mint with Win7 and Win 10

Thanks for your advice mod Pierre. Notice that you say Linux can be installed on Logical partition, so can I shrink 20GB from D partition and set it as Logical, then install Linux on it? I think it's faster than convert the whole D to Logical.

Re: Partition strategy for Installing Mint with Win7 and Win 10

I have installed mint on virtualbox but it's laggy. Lag is not a big problem for only learning programing, but I want to have detailed experience on Linux because I have been using Windows for so long, so I'm willing to use Linux for a while if installing on real machine is possible.

Partition strategy for Installing Mint with Win7 and Win 10

Hello linux community, I'm a newbie! I'm planning to install Mint 18.2 alongside with my Win 7 and Win 10. I have installed Win 7, then Win 10. The disk info is on the attached photo. disk.png My laptop is Asus K55a (on the list of perfectly supported by Linux Mint), Core i5 3230M and 4GB RAM, only ...
