Re: Making a Html MDM theme

ya I make games so I use the framework and make the odd mdm theme when I have spare time with it. If you just want a simpler way you can snag one of my earlier themes and just swap out the artwork for your own and change the theme file to your own (make sure you change the name of the folder and th...

Re: Make an extension to mimic Aero Glass effect

The wobbly windows extensions is not dependent on Compiz. It is written from the ground up for Cinnamon. The source code for the wobbly windows extension is found here: https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon-spices-extensions/tree/master/wobbly-windows%40mecheye.net. You could start by studying that...

Re: Making a Html MDM theme

I'm the dude that created a lot of them in the beginning. I wrote a tutorial and made a template. I found using phasers framework worked best It's a html5 gaming framework and it just works great for mdm themes with canvas. I also use the phaser editor to create them (which uses eclipse forked for ...

Re: Is it wise to update Mint 18's Cinnamon lasteat version?

CinnVIIStarkMenu works just fine under Cinnamon 3.4.x - using it now. It's Spices page lists compatibility - https://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/applets/view/281 Theme specific bugs are more likely down to the theme not been updated to properly support Cinnamon 3.2 or above. There were significan...

Re: Is it wise to update Mint 18's Cinnamon lasteat version?

As it happens, I'm playing with Cinnamon today (as noted in my sig line, my main system is Mate), so your question caught my eye. Not sure I understand the first issue. If you're asking whether you can upgrade 18 to 18.2 and keep MDM, the answer is "yes." In fact, the install I just did (to a USB d...

Greetings everyone

Hello y'all I started using Linux since Ubuntu on Vm once and didn't well due to issues with Virtual Box, so I begin using mint to have a better OS to use instead of Vms. I'm not sure why I've started using Linux Mint Cinnamon, I think it's because of the way to customize the desktop to my own stand...

Is it wise to update Mint 18's Cinnamon lasteat version?

First off I used mint once on VM but never can get it to work smoothly...so I'm gonna use a Dell Latitude E5410 laptop to make it my own Linux based laptop. Now my question is this since 18.2 uses lightdm for the login screen and it's a pain to change it back, I'm gonna use version 18 and I wanna kn...
