Re: Unable to boot after gparted partitiom resize

OK I'm back in, phew!!

Ran fsck -fy /dev/sda1 from BusyBox and seems to be sorted, won't be resizing critical partitions again in a hurry. Still not totally comfortable with this from stability point of view but don't want the hassle of rebuild until after MInt 19.2 launch.

Re: Unable to boot after gparted partitiom resize

Thanks but not sure this helps me, I have already resized the partitions, the problem now is that when I try to boot I get dumped straight into BusyBox with an (initramfs) prompt and flashing cursor.

Unable to boot after gparted partitiom resize

So I've made a bit of a mess. I'm unable to boot after using gparted to resize my root and data NVME partitions to free up some more space for a large 4k video editing project I'm about to start for work. When attempting boot I now get thrown into Busybox which reports checksums don't match. I alway...

Many thanks hcentaur13 and smurphos for your input, sorry for delayed response. I tried the keyboard shortcut screen suggested by smurphos and all looked good, but still the keys didn't work. Then I tried hot corner and expo applet from terminal, both work fine to view workspaces. I already had the ...

Re: My system did not agree with new Nvidia driver :(

I'm on 390.77 and the update wants to install 390.116, so same as you drpeppercan

I've deselected the NVIDIA driver update, and run through all the other updates now and all still OK.

Re: My system did not agree with new Nvidia driver :(

I have similar issue, latest update (that I accepted in Update Mgr this evening 8th March 2019) causes Blender to crash at launch. Could it be the NVIDIA drivers that are included in this update? Some of the NVIDIA package versions in this update seem to be regressing from Ubuntu 18.04.2 to 18.04.1 ...

Re: Cinnamon Tweaks Screen Tearing VSYNC NVIDIA

And also fixed screen tearing in F1 2017, thought my GPU wasn't up to playing this at 3440x1440 but now it looks superb. Like having a new PC!
